Going out for dinner or brunch?

I've never seen so many different kinds of restaurants, as I've seen in Melbourne. I've only been a few places so far, but I've already found my favourites.

Your Thai, 255 Swanston st.
Green and orange aren't the greatest colours for a restaurant, but the food is so great that you probably even won't notice. It's a small place, but with plenty of tables. You can get main courses from $8,9, and it's really good. I've tried the Green Curry and the Creamy mushroom, which I definitely can recommend. Only cash and no split bills.

Shanghai Village, Little Bourke st., China Town
Large, 3-level restaurant in the middle of China Town. They've got chinese food with main courses starting at only $7,5 and BYO wine for only $2. The staff can be a bit rude, and they only take cash.

Bimbo, 376 Brunswick st., Fitzroy
It's expensive to live in Melbourne and as the groceries can be expensive as well, Bimbo is the answer. Get a $4 Pizza at Bimbo! If you are really hungry, you should think about getting two. Just saying...
The offer is valid: Sun-Thursday: 7-11 pm + weekends 12-4pm + Saturday 7-9 pm.

Little Creatures Dining Hall, 222 Brunswick st., Fitzroy
A dining hall? Are you kidding? I know it seems quite old-fashioned, but nevertheless it's so cozy and relaxing at Little Creatures. In the weekends it can be quite crowed which is reflected in a lot of noise. They've got their own brewery, which is only one of the reasons to go there. The food taste really good, and the prices are a little bit high, but not compared to the fact that it's a restaurant and not a cafe. After the meal, ask for their delicious dessert menu, mmmm.

Little Creatures Dining Hall

The Green Refectory, 115 Sydney Rd, Brunswick
The greatest little cafe in Brunswick. The have a huge menu card, and everything looks so delicious, that it's hard to decide. Try the $10 Brunch-Stack or their $8 plate of three different kind of salads. It's crowed during the weekend so be patient.

$10 brunch-stack at The Green Refectory

Italian food
Take a walk down Lygon st. in Carlton and see how difficult it is for you decide, which one of all the Italian restaurants you would like to try. Be aware that some of them are quite expensive, but definitely not all of them.

Boost
Smoothies and juices. Seriously, try it, it's the best. Get a customer card and get every 10th juice for free. It's all healthy.

Mmmm
